Strategic Planning & Management
Team Science/Collaboration
We help individuals and organizations identify and move their research and priorities forward through flexible and expansive management. We listen to you needs and priorities, and provide targeted training, workshops, and consulting.
Project management training
Workshops
Designed by two seasoned project management practitioners, our half and full day Agile Project Management workshops cover some important basics of project management for non project managers, including exercises on prioritization, risk management, project design, and how to have productive meetings.
Through relatable scenarios that create context, we offer hands-on practice in skills that help you work more effectively, whether you manage a single publication or a large collaborative grant. Workshop sizes are limited to provide an engaged and interactive experience, with the opportunity to explore key concepts. The content works well both virtually and in-person. We recommend dividing the full-day workshop into two 4-hour sessions on concurrent days for the best participant experience.
Consulting and Coaching
Shorter group trainings or individual consultations can target specific skills, for example Lean Canvas, project estimation, or meeting culture. Sessions are led by ATG’s Agile coach and consultant, Jet LeBlanc, often collaboratively with academic partners.
Strategic Planning
Workshops
We combine Strategic Doing (TM) approaches with human-centered strategy development to help you create a strategic plan that leads to action. These workshops can be stand alone or combined with Team Science/Collaboration training.
Consulting
Sessions are led by a certified Strategic Doing practitioner who meets with the leadership ahead of time to help clarify their goals. Follow-up consulting is also available to keep new plans on track.
Team Science/Collaboration Training
Workshops
We approach supporting collaborative teams based on the Science of Team Science, organizational behavior, leadership concepts, and decades of practical experience. We work with established teams to strengthen their relationships and hone their vision, establishing a plan for developing a proposal. We work with nascent teams to develop new collaborative ideas, and combined with Strategic Doing (TM), the new team emerges with a plan for turning the ideas into reality.
Consulting
ATG’s trained coaches and facilitators help teams solidify, re-energize, or re-form. We combine education and coaching to help struggling teams truly work together to create outstanding research.
